To help manage demand, visitors are encouraged to use all available Park & Ride car parks where possible.

If you are able to, please avoid Babraham Road and Trumpington Park & Ride car parks for the time being and consider using alternative sites such as:

• Madingley Road Park & Ride
• Milton Park & Ride
• Newmarket Road Park & Ride

We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as required.

Up to 4 children under 5 years old will be able to travel free with each adult.

Sorry, we’ve done our best to hold back fare increases but the time has come to adjust them. The first objective of fares is to cover the costs of service provision and while the majority of this fare increase is down to rising cost, we’ve also been making important investments to give you an even better experience when travelling on our network. The new ticket prices will add on average just 43p onto the cost of daily adult bus travel in the Town zone. From Sunday 17th September 2023, we will continue to offer the same ticket types, but at slightly different prices.

Don't forget that all single fares are £2 or less across our Eastern network until 31st October 2023 (excluding the X12 and Cambridge Sightseeing Tour)- this means that the majority of customers will not be impacted by the fare changes whilst this £2 fare cap scheme is in operation.

There will now be two group tickets for different sized groups:

• Small group dayrider £6.50 valid for one days travel within the Cambridge town zone for 1 adult and up to 2 youth passenger (16 to 19 years) or 3 youth passengers travelling together
• Large group dayrider £10.50 valid for one days travel within the Cambridge zone for up to any 5 passengers.

Bus use in the UK has only partially recovered since the pandemic. Local bus operators, including Stagecoach, have been working to re-base local bus networks to take account of changes in people’s travel habits, lower passenger numbers, rising costs and labour challenges. This will ensure we can provide a sustainable network that we hope can grow over the longer-term.

The safety of our passengers, staff and other road users is our top priority and so we will be temporarily suspending all of our Cambridge and Busway services, as well as those which travel into the affected regions, which include routes: 905, X5, 99 and 904. These services are planned to resume after 15:00 and this will prioritise journeys from the City, out to surrounding areas.

As Bedford and Peterborough remain in the Amber Warning zones, we will continue to run our remaining services throughout the day where possible, prioritising single deck vehicles on the more rural routes.

Our teams are working hard to maintain service levels where possible but there may be some further travel disruption as the situation evolves and so we apologise for any inconvenience caused.
